HEALTH AND RECREATION GRANTS

The Health & Recreation Grant is funding provided to those individuals seeking assistance with activities associated with health and recreation. To apply, either fill out an application online.

Please read through the following requirements before applying:

  • You must be a Canadian Citizen and proof of residency is needed (ID from the United States is not acceptable). Any of the following will be accepted:

    • Hydro bill
    • Phone bill
    • Cable bill
    • Revenue Canada child tax papers

  • The above mail must have your name on it

  • If you do not have mail that has your name on it and you still live at home, please have your parent write a letter stating that you reside at the address

  • If you have turned 18 or will be turning 18 before the distribution date, you are eligible to receive grant. Fill out a new application for this year’s distribution.

  • Provide a copy of your status card and status card of any children

  • If you have recently had a baby, please make sure that you have started the registration process BEFORE you add your baby to the form.

  • Only one application is needed to be filled out for the year.  If you’ve had a child since the last distribution, please ensure that baby’s name is included on your application and proof that you are applying for a status card for your baby.

  • You must submit a new application if your information has changed. Changes can include:

    • Number of dependents
    • Mailing Address
    • Bank Account Info (if requesting direct deposit)
    • You have recently turned 19
  • If you would like direct deposit, please bring a void cheque to the office or fill out the online Direct Deposit Request Form
