Community Spring Cleanup 2026
Date: May 4 – 15, 2026
Let’s Do This Together — For Our Land, Our Community, and the Generations Ahead.
WHY WE ARE DOING THIS?
– This Land Is Ours to Care For
This isn’t just a cleanup. It’s a chance for us — as a Nation, as neighbours, as families — to come together and show up for the land that has always shown up for us.
We know that when everything goes to the landfill, it doesn’t disappear. Landfills fill up and they don’t empty. The items that could have been recycled, reused, or passed on to someone who needs them end up buried — and the cost of that falls on the generations that come after us. This land belongs to our children and our grandchildren just as much as it belongs to us today. We want to take care of it together.
This year, we’re doing things a little differently. We’re making it easier to recycle, to give good items a second life through our Free Store, and to support every household in our community to be part of the solution. We’re doing it as a community — and we’re excited about what we can accomplish together.
EDUCATION NIGHT —
JOIN US FIRST!
Stewardship Education Gathering
Monday, April 27, 2026 · 5:00 PM · SȾÁUTW̱ Gym
Before the Spring Clean Up kicks off, we want to get together, share a meal, and walk through everything you need to know to make the most of the program. Come as you are — this evening is for everyone.
The evening will include:
- Community stewardship and how we can all make a difference together
- FNHA home health and safety presentation
- Full Spring Clean Up program walkthrough — what’s happening, how to get involved, and how to enter the Community Transformation Contest
- Dinner will be served.
Door prizes include lawnmowers, cleaning equipment, and more!
We hope to see everyone there. The more of us that show up, the stronger we are as a community.

SPRING CLEAN UP —
MAY 4 – 15, 2026
Collection Site & Free Store
The collection site will be set up next to the Long House parking area. Drop off your stewardship items — and while you’re there, check out the Free Store. If you have items that are still in good shape, bring them in. If you see something you can use, take it home. What’s left at the end of the program will be donated to a local thrift store so nothing goes to waste.
Come check it out yourself — and get rewarded for it! The first 100 households to visit the collection site and drop off their stewardship items will each receive a $25 gift card. One per household. This is our way of saying thank you for showing up and being part of something bigger. Come see it for yourself — we think you’ll love what we’ve put together.

COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION CONTEST
Back by Popular Request — and We Can’t Wait to See What You Do!
The Community Transformation Contest is back — and the community has spoken. This is one of the most exciting parts of our Spring Clean Up, and this year we are turning it up a notch. From living rooms to backyards, garages to kitchens — this is your chance to show what you’ve got and be celebrated for it.
Take your before photo. Do your thing. Take your after photo. That’s it — you’re entered.
We will be sharing the transformations on our community Facebook page and celebrating every single one. The energy around this contest has been incredible, and we cannot wait to see what our community comes up with this year.
Three prize categories:
- Best Indoor Clean Up Prize: Shark Brand Vacuum
- Best Outdoor Clean Up Prize: Lawn Mower
- Most Drastic Change — Top Prize Blackstone Brand BBQ
How to enter: More information coming soon — stay tuned to our community Facebook page for the contest submission link and full details.
