🌿 Join Us for the Restoration of Tsawout Coastal Sand Ecosystems! 🌿
We’re excited to invite you to an important community event where we’ll be working together to restore our beautiful coastal sand ecosystems at TI̸X̱EN (Cordova Spit)! On Thursday, September 5th, 2024 from 10 AM to 1 PM, we’ll be removing Broom and other invasive plant species that threaten the health of our natural habitats.

Event Details:
Date: Thursday, Sept 5, 2024
Time: 10 AM – 1 PM
Location: TI̸X̱EN (Cordova Spit)
Parking: 2798 Sa Su Rd. beside the Sewage Plant
(coordinates: 48°35’20.5″N 123°22’17.5″W)
Meeting Point: Adjacent to the parking lot – Island View fence access
Transportation: A shuttle will leave from 7728 Tetayut Road at 9:30 AM to the meeting point.
What to Bring: Sunscreen, closed-toe shoes, a refillable water bottle, and dress for the weather in work clothes.
Water Refill Station: Available on-site.
This event is hosted in collaboration with Tsawout Fisheries and CRD Regional Parks. It’s a fantastic opportunity to give back to our land, learn more about our natural environment, and have a good time with friends and family.
