Message to Community Members Community Health Nurse
The Chief and Council have ordered the Shelter in Place Order until Tuesday, March 9, 2021. This order is issued, with careful consideration, in response to 2 positive cases in Tsawout. The Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) and the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) are managing the cases, in close collaboration with Tsawout Health.
The COVID-19 vaccine is coming to Tsawout. We have been prioritized to have it sometime in March. The date, time, and who qualifies is given to us by the BC Government. The vaccine distribution will be closely monitored by Public Health Officials daily.

There have been increasing concerns regarding COVID-19 and Tsawout. COVID-19 has now shown up in First Nations communities on the Island. As of today, we are not aware of any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tsawout.
